Four habits that make a manicure last

Gloves, cuticle oil and two more small habits: what you do at home matters as much as the appointment.

Una manicure in corso

A good manicure starts in the treatment room: the shape, the cuticles, every layer applied with care. How long it stays beautiful depends on the days that follow. Here are four habits, and none of them takes more than a minute.

Gloves, always

Hot water and detergent are the colour’s worst enemies. For dishes and cleaning, a pair of gloves makes a manicure last longer than anything else.

Cuticle oil, every evening

A drop massaged into the cuticles and around the nail keeps the skin soft and the nail flexible. A dry nail breaks, and the colour chips with it.

Nails are not tools

Opening cans, peeling labels, scraping something off: every small knock on the edge is a chip on its way. Use the pads of your fingers instead.

Hand cream after every wash

Hands lose moisture every time you wash them. A light cream kept by the sink is the simplest habit, and the most forgotten.

At your next appointment we pick up from here: we look at how your nails held up and adapt the shape and the products to the way you use your hands.
